You'll appreciate the versatility of these natural willow trellises in the garden. These plant supports expand and contract like an accordion, so they can be set up as squat or as tall as you like. The peeled willow and diamond shaped openings make these teepees a graceful, natural accent.

Going to use them for my pole beans. I love the way I can determine the size of them - and that they are so flexible.

I ordered this trellis for my pole beans. When it arrived, I opened it in the living room, and was amazed at how beautiful it is. Almost too pretty to cover with vines! A lovely work of art to complement my garden. this trellis is sturdy enough to support my bean plants. A great find!

Comments about Expandable Willow Trellises:
We had a hard time getting the trellis to hold up to the wind. Finally anchored it down. We used it for pole beans and it didn't hold up well at all. We had two trellises and both snapped under the weight of the beans. We've owned a similar type of trellis in the past(a little different design) and were able to get many seasons out of them so very disappointed that these lasted less than one season.

Comments about Expandable Willow Trellises:
This was one of the three different methods for growing green beans that we tried in 2009. Our goal was to see it growing the beans on this product, the net fencing, or a string based contraption would !)grow beans, 2)help reduce the mosquito population that likes to live in the foliage when we grow the beans as bush beans in a row. We think the pole bean seeds were mostly at fault for the mediocre crop we got.
This particular product has too many stakes, and that made it too "tight" at the top. With all the stakes that were part of the trellis, it was hard to pick the beans.
We are going back to planting our green beans in rows. We are going to think of another way to use the trellis.

I have a lot of vines as ground cover in my garden. I love the vines but felt that my garden needed a little "oomph" It's usually windy here so I secured the expandable trellis to the ground with earth staples. The vines steadily crept up the sides of the trellis. I now have something special in my garden adding a new dimension to the look! I haven't had one problem with the trellis blowing over.
