Why Our Bulbs Are Better

Unlike ordinary fluorescent light bulbs, our bulbs replicate more of the solar spectrum to bathe your plants in all the colors of natural sunlight. The result?

  • Stocky seedlings with well-developed root systems
  • More robust foliage plants
  • Orchids and other tropicals that flower with abandon
Replacement Bulbs

To get the right size bulb, look on the fixture (or the old bulbs) for the "T" (tube) size. Conventional "shop-light"-type fixtures usually fit T-12 bulbs. However, our new line of fixtures takes T-5 and T-8 bulbs, which are more narrow and more efficient.

For more information, read Why Our Bulbs Are Better.

When you grow seedlings under our bulbs, you won't see the usual signs of light starvation: leggy seedlings leaning inward toward the light. Instead, you'll see straight, stocky seedlings with well-developed leaves and root systems. In the garden, these healthier, more robust seedlings will get off to a faster start after transplanting, which means an earlier, more abundant harvest of fruit and flowers.

New SunLite Bulbs Last Longer and Use Less Energy

In recent years, fluorescent bulb technology has taken a big leap forward. We are now offering a new line of SunLite bulbs that are narrower in diameter. These T-8 bulbs require 20% less energy to produce the same amount of light, and are made with less mercury, phosphorous and glass. They also burn 4,000 hours longer than traditional fluorescent bulbs. What's more, these new bulbs run on quiet electronic ballasts, so there's no annoying buzz.
