Comments about 20-Year Weed Shield®:
I unwrapped one roll and tried to apply it at the home of one of my clients. Even though it was a calm day the material was lifted and carried by the SLIGHTEST breeze. It was like working with tissue paper--it didn't lie flat, I had to use tools and rocks to weight it down to apply mulch! It became much more than a one-person job and I ended up using twice as much of this fabric as the cheaper alternative. I was seriously bummed out and ended up ripping out the whole job and starting from scratch the next day.I've had the half used roll and the unopened roll sitting by my backdoor since then, meaning to return them and asking for a refund.[...]

Comments about 20-Year Weed Shield®:
I covered the fabric with 3 inches of Mexican beach pebbles which are extremely smooth and will not tear the fabric. I cannot cover with mulch or wood chips because leaves need to be blown out of the area.

Comments about 20-Year Weed Shield®:
I can definetely live for 20 years without weeds. It's a bit tedious to install this weed shield, but if that's all that needs to be done to keep weeds off for 20 years, it would be definetely worth it.

Comments about 20-Year Weed Shield®:
Hopefully this will be a long lasting answer to weed control on my garden pathways. Although the product was easy to unroll, you had to be careful stepping on it prior to putting mulch over it or it would tear. It was also a little difficult to cut and tended to tear unless a very sharp instrument was used. Actually too soon to give a good bottom line, but for now, I will recommend with hopes of it performing the job intended.

Comments about 20-Year Weed Shield®:
I put weed shield down in my rose garden, lavender garden, herb garden and in all my garden beds. I also used it under my trees. I put mulch on top of it.
My yard looks so lovely and I am no longer overwhelmed with the weeds. Before I used this product, my neighbors probably thought I was a weed farmer!! I also have more free time because I am not constantly weeding my garden beds.
It is easy to use--just lay it down on the ground, cut the size, and push in the earth staples to keep it in place. I just put it down this spring. The product states that it will last for 20 years. I love the idea of a weed free yard for 20 years!!!

I did a series of raised beds in a very grassy area. It has kept the weeds at bay in the beds by lining walk ways that I covered with wood chips. Looks good and efficient!!

Comments about 20-Year Weed Shield®:
I use this product in two walkways beside our house. They get moderate traffic. The material appears to be strong and easy to use. This is the first season I have used it and it is covered by 2-3 inches of bark mulch. So far, we like it.
