Comments about Vintage Compost Crock:
The opening makes it hard to litter the composting material, but nothing to hard, I would still purchase it.

Comments about Vintage Compost Crock:
This is such a beautiful way to hide veggie and fruit scraps for the compost pile. It looks like a kitchen canister, so nobody else knows what it really is. The charcoal filter keeps any odors from escaping while being filled.

Comments about Vintage Compost Crock:
We wanted to replace the old plastic bucket we kept under the kitchen sink for our compostable wastes and this seemed just the right size. It is way too pretty to sit under the sink, though! The only drawback we can point out is the curved rim at the top which does make it difficult to remove the waste, but other than that, we're very happy with this purchase.

Comments about Vintage Compost Crock:
The pot did not have the large top opening as I was lead to believe from the drawing so it was not useful for me.

Comments about Vintage Compost Crock:
This is an attractive, functional solution to the daily composting materials. Looks nice on the counter, has a deceptively good capacity, and the charcoal filter is functional and practical.
The only drawback is as others have noted ... that the neck of the container is smaller than the body, so it catches some of the composting material upon emptying. I solve that issue by taking a long-handled spoon with me when dumping it out, and it solves the problem for me. Were it not for this drawback, I'd have given it 5 stars.

It's very attractive and convenient - a little work to empty thoroughly and clean, but very efficient at being odorless.

Comments about Vintage Compost Crock:
I love the look of the vintage crock. Only problem is when using the bio bags, it is hard to get the bag out of the crock when full. I have put it on its side and used a rolling action.

I just love this crock. It holds a lot of kitchen scraps before you have to empty it. I also love the old country look to it. And I love to get things on sale! Was such a good deal.
