As your perennial garden evolves, it can be hard to remember which plant is which. These durable markers record variety names and planting dates, and keep you from digging up plants by mistake. Slim and unobtrusive, they virtually disappear in the foliage yet there's plenty of room to write on the nameplate. We recommend our permanent Paint Marker, sold separately.

Comments about Vertical Markers, Set of 25:
They are re-usable. Just use a plastic scouring pad that contains soap (like "brillo," but plastic, to remove old writing. Rinse, dry, and add a new label.)
Also, use paint-marker, not a grease pencil. The label will hold up over time.

I love these - i can use them for plants that are blooming or vegetables that are in season and store them for next year - they are the best!

Use these vertical markers to identify rows of daylilies by type and color. I attach them to a wooden stake so I can weedeat without damaging the row marker.

Comments about Vertical Markers, Set of 25:
I just needed something that would hold up to the weather. I have used similar markers that are Horizonal but when trying to store after using they are usually one big tangled mess. I am hoping these will be easier to store once I divide the irises I am marking.

Comments about Vertical Markers, Set of 25:
We bought a new home a couple years ago and are building new gardens all around the house. I tried these because plastic labels didn't last the winter, and I forgot what I planted where. With these, I labeled the new perennial bed...needed more. Then I labeled the tomatoes and peppers. Needed more. Then I labeled the peonies, blueberries and roses. NEED MORE! Need I say more??!!

I used these in my raised vegetable beds. They were easy to use and a sharpie maker worked great.

Comments about Vertical Markers, Set of 25:
I love the design of this marker. Most other markers are clunky and stick out like a sore thumb. The two problems I have though are that they are not reusable and the writing tends to fade even using a grease pencil. I am now trying the permanent paint marker to if this method lasts longer through our winters and summers.

Comments about Vertical Markers, Set of 25:
These seem very sturdy and the design is unobtrusive. They are very attractive in the garden. A regular permanent marker keeps washing off however; think I will try the recommended paint marker instead.
