Keep Track of Your Plants with Our Weatherproof Markers
- Mark the locations and names of plants and bulbs in garden
- Vertical nameplates are unobtrusive
- Rustproof, zinc-coated nameplates, galvanized steel wire legs
- Set of 25
As your perennial garden evolves, it can be hard to remember which plant is which. These durable markers record variety names and planting dates, and keep you from digging up plants by mistake. Slim and unobtrusive, they virtually disappear in the foliage yet there's plenty of room to write on the nameplate. We recommend our permanent Paint Marker, sold separately.

Comments about Vertical Markers, Set of 25:
I used these in my new perennial garden last year so I would know which things I needed to leave in the spring and which I should weed out. The ink stayed on throughout the change of seasons, I'm learning to recognise my plants by connecting the name and leaf shape since the labels are right there as I work around the plants. This set was my second, and I already need more as I'm working my way around the yard.
Pros
- Can Leave Out All Winter
- Durable
- Not Plastic

Comments about Vertical Markers, Set of 25:
I like the vertical markers because they are easy to pull up and replace even when foliage is thick. Why replace them? In addition to reminding me what I have put where, I like to make notes about changes I want to make, like, "Needs tall support," "Divide in spring," or plans for next year, like, "Woodland Phlox here" or "Put in tall foliage." They are also great for ideas about fall bulbs ("Needs clump of red tulips" or "Add Muscari") when it's spring and you are having those thoughts. They tuck away easily into foliage, so they do not show once things get going in the spring.

I write the seed name and date of planting on the marker with a Sharpie. It rains ALL THE TIME here is western WA State, and the writing has not washed off nor has it faded. Success!

Comments about Vertical Markers, Set of 25:
They are re-usable. Just use a plastic scouring pad that contains soap (like "brillo," but plastic, to remove old writing. Rinse, dry, and add a new label.)
Also, use paint-marker, not a grease pencil. The label will hold up over time.
