Bushy vegetable plants like peppers and eggplants produce a healthier, more productive harvest when their fruit doesn't touch the ground. Our zinc-plated steel veggie cages support plants on all sides without tying. Simply push legs into the ground. Cages fold flat for storage when the season's over.

Comments about Veggie Cages, Set of 3:
In vegetable garden the vegetable cages protect the root area from neighborhood cats that would love to use that area as a litterbox. In addition they support peppers, eggplants and other heavy vegetables that could cause the plant stems to list to one side.

Comments about Veggie Cages, Set of 3:
We use these things all over: in our raised beds, flower beds and self-watering containers; to prop up tomatoes, beans, peppers, Amaryllis, anything that needs it. They also make a great "foundation" for insect/critter netting.

Comments about Veggie Cages, Set of 3:
I have used Gardener's Supply plant supports for years. I bought my first set of Veggie Cages last year and used them for my eggplants and peppers. Quite often these two types of vegetables get heavy and break the stem. These cages added the support they needed to stay upright and not break. Because Gardener's Supply plant supports are not cheap, I usually buy a set or two at the end of the season when they go on sale.

Comments about Veggie Cages, Set of 3:
I put one of these around a tomato plant I did not have a cage on, before the Hurricane Irene and the tomato plant made it thru OK and the cage stayed in place and upright. I had some cheap cages on other tomatos and they fell over.

I used these in pots that were slightly smaller than the base of the supports. I was easily able to bend the bottoms of each support to fit the pot.
