We use the humidifier mainly during the winter months, especially at night. It is quiet compared to other humidifiers we have used in the past. We like the ability to change from cool mist to warm mist and how much mist you want. You can fill the tank and it will last several days before you refill. The only thing we don't like is the power light, it is bright . . . good for those who may need a night light in the bedroom. We had to cover the light so we could sleep. Other than that, we would buy this again.

Bought this humidifier to help relieve the low humidity due to the heater running. LOVE IT! I am a light sleeper and it does gurgle loud enough for me to hear. Item arrived missing a part and called Germ Guardian directly and they promptly sent me the part. Easy to use. Even with the gurgling I would still buy again.

Adding humidity to forced air heat has helped sooth sinus and skin. An added benefit is how well the houseplants respond to the humidity. My tropical plants and citrus are not just merely surviving - they are growing!
Would have liked the unit to be less "nursery room" in appearance though.

I bought this humidifier for my husband for Christmas. We both have sinus problems that are exacerbated by the dry air in winter. We've had several humidifiers over the years and eventually stopped using them because they were just too hard to care for. I'm happy to say this one if different. It's very easy to fill and does not require filters, additives or daily cleaning. Even though it is small, it puts out plenty of moisture to make the room comfortable. It has a warm and a cool setting, but the warm setting isn't like a hot vaporizer - it's more like room-temperature, so the room doesn't get so chilly. It's also very quiet. My only complaint is that the blue light on the front that indicates that it's 'on' is extremely bright. We had to turn it toward the wall because it was keeping me awake at night. There's still a blue glow across the room, but at least it's not shining right in my eyes. I wish there was a way to turn the light off or dim it. But other than that, we both love it and would recommend it.

I'm confused as to what the warning "Do not keep this product running for an extended period of time." really means. Does that mean 8 hours, 24 hours, 40 hours?

I've been looking for years for a compact, attractive humidifier. This is it--and it works! It quietly pours out just the right amount of mist into the room. Has made a difference in nasal and throat comfort and reduced stress on my respiratory system.

This is the second humidifer we have owned. This humidifer requires no cleaning,and quiet operation. The price seems reasonable.
