Purchase this cover for my raised bed about 4 years ago and it was made very well. Need to purchase a replacement for the same bed and quality of material and workmanship is way below previous purchase. Zippers are not sturdy and material is not as good. No eyelets on the corners to stake to the ground rips easy. Not happy!!! I might add same price as before.

I purchase a cold frame about 4 year ago and the quality was very good and it lasted the 4 or 5 years I had it. So this year I ordered a new one the the quality is not the same to put it planly it's just cheaper and the cost is the same very disappointed. I have bought many thing from gardener and love them.So many company's are using cheaper material for there products. So sad.

I have used these for several years, I just purchased 2 more this spring. The biggest problem I have encountered is the plastic frame connectors. They do not last, the heat and cold cause them to break. It would be great if someone could come up with better frame connectors.

Forever interested in the concept of coldframes, this year we bit the bullet and bought this as an experiment. Just put it together and installed it today. We put it inside our fenced vegetable garden so varmints can't dig under it - the bottom is totally open to the earth below.
While we are not happy with the flimsy zippers and fit (one side is tighter than the other, and when put together, the velcro does NOT pull the flap tightly and it sails in the wind), we are already in love with this product.
It is perfect for our needs, and much larger than expected. Now we have to add to our started seeds to fill it up!

I previously reviewed favorably an older and MUCH better, very similar product. This new one is a mere shadow of its predecessor. It lacks zippers which the previous model had to secure the two large access flaps . . . they're secured on this new model with ill-fitting velcro tabs. This allows a lot of warm air to escape and cold air to get in, even if the flap is closed as well as possible. A strong wind shakes the velcro loose, so additional measures must be taken in order to keep things closed anywhere above 20 MPH.

Otherwise, this is a thoughtful design and an inexpensive, easy-to-erect and easy-to-store piece of gardening equipment . . . it just lacks four essential zippers.

I purchased this along with the same size cedar raised bed in order to grow greens pretty much year round in NE Ohio. I set it up in mid-spring 2012 and five months later, both the plastic cover and the mesh netting were disintegrating. See my photos. Nothing ripped or tore the netting; it simply broke down on its own. We had a hot summer here but hot summers are everywhere now and products should be adaptable to our new weather.

I want to point out that this cover was gently used. No animals got in and tore the netting. I didn't zip open the netting when I watered. At most I pulled up the outside covers twice a week to water, but usually checked on the plants by looking through the small end flaps on the sides.

This is a great idea but made with highly inferior materials. I trust Gardeners and as always, they stand behind their products. They sent me a replacement cover which I will put out this spring, hopefully without the same results. I will post again once I know.

I did not use the product. It was obvious to me after assembling the Ultimate Cold Frame that it would be difficult to use as I had done with a similar cold frame purchased a number of years ago from Garden Supply. I disassembled and have returned it in the original package. I plan to use the old frame work which is still in good condition, and make my own plastic cover. I would recommend that you not sell this product.
