Comments about Two Rain Barrels with FREE Linking Kit:
In South Florida heat is a problem with everything, even water for the garden. These barrels obviously have a double wall construction to keep the water cooler than water out of the tap. Tap water in Florida is 77 degrees average.

Comments about Two Rain Barrels with FREE Linking Kit:
The hose doesn't stay on top and, when it falls down, all the water goes out of the barrel. Needs attachment added. I have the 2 barrels because I got tired of the city telling me what days I could water my plants. Also, last spring's drought got my attention, & I decided that there had to be a way to save enough water to help the plants.

Our plants, vegetables, flowers and fruit trees love the rainwater and are all florishing. Here in Arizona desert we need to conserve water. Plus our water bill is waaaay down!

Comments about Two Rain Barrels with FREE Linking Kit:
These barrels work great for us. We have not used the linking kit. Because of our hilly terrain, we have one at a downspout at the bottom of the hill and one at the top. They have really been wonderful in helping us to keep new plantings from dying for lack of water. We simply cannot afford to use our well water for flowers and plantings during a dry spell.
Being on a well, when the electricity goes off, our pump can't pump water which means toilets can't be flushed. It's a good feeling to know we don't have to worry about that problem anymore.
We were amazed at how rapidly the barrels fill. You don't need a storm -- just a short shower.
We are absolutely delighted with the barrels. We put each on a platform of cinder blocks which makes it easier to use. One observation -- there are inconsistencies between the barrels. The filler hose hangs just like it is supposed to on on one but not on the other. We wish they were both the same, but can work with the other one just fine. Also, so far we have not needed the downspout diverter that we ordered. The barrels work well without it.

Comments about Two Rain Barrels with FREE Linking Kit:
I use the barrels separately at this time.
The hose holder is not adequate - too shallow.
The screen frames warped almost immediately upon exposure to the great outdoors.
Too soon to tell how efficient the overflow tube is.

Comments about Two Rain Barrels with FREE Linking Kit:
I ended up connecting the hose to the bottom and leaving it on/open all the time so it was rerouting the water to other areas. This worked well. The linking kit was of no value. Connection for hose at the bottom of the unit could be improved as it falls off frequently. Idea for product line extension - Oblong or round conical inserts for the top to increase the area that gets directed into the barrel. This is especially useful for houses or other structures that do not have gutters.

Comments about Two Rain Barrels with FREE Linking Kit:
Nice to have water handy and not have to haul a hose around. It's up on cement blocks so I cut the output hose to about 12" -- easy to put buckets under it for quick fill.
