Comments about Tuscan Compost Crock:
I've been composting for years. My sister-in-law noticed my pottery compost crock and commented that she would like to start composting. So... I searched the internet and this was the nicest option I found. I think it will last forever... especially since there are not any parts that can break off. It will look very attractive on the counter AND she LOVES it! I would recommend it--but since she hasn't used it yet, I can't tell you for sure about its performance.

We were extremely happy with the crock. It held our kitchen waste; blocked odors; looked good and was dishwasher safe. After about 6 months a crack developed and we have treated it very delicately since. We still use it, but the ease of cleaning is gone.
