Our exclusive Tomato Success Kits have helped thousands of gardeners grow big crops of healthier, tastier tomatoes. The self-watering planter has a generous, 4-gallon reservoir that provides a steady flow of moisture to plants. This eliminates the "drought and drown" cycle that stresses plants, helping your tomatoes outperform garden-grown plants by 30% or more. The kit includes a two-part stacking tomato cage and 40 quarts of our exclusive Self-Watering Container Mix. It also includes 1-1/2 lbs. of Gardener's Best Organic Tomato Fertilizer, an 8-5-5 slow-release fertilizer that is fortified with 4-1/2% calcium to help prevent blossom end rot.
- Self-Watering Planter is 26" L x 19-3/4" W x 10-1/2" H
- Tomato Cage is 14-1/2" W x 21-1/2" D x 30" H with 8" legs (38" overall)
- Two 20-quart bags of Self-Watering Container Mix

GROWING TOMATOES
- Was this a gift?:

Pros
- All In 1 Kit
- Attractive
- Easy to move
- Excellent Mix
- Has Optional Wheels
- No Brainer
- Roomy
- Sturdy
Cons
Best Uses
- On deck
- On patio
I love it and had my cousin whose husband is a landscaper in Greenwich Ct. buy one for her patio.
Was easy to set up. I bought the wheels and what a blessing. I move it around the deck to keep it in the sun. Move to a protected area when it pours or is windy.
I put 2 Celebrity plants in it and while it is only the beginning of May they are growing.
The fertilizer seems to be good. I love the plant support system as in the past I used cages and when the plants were laden with tomatoes they would tip over taking the plant with them. I would have to tie the cages to a railing to try to keep it upright. This rectangle configuration is so much better and has the option of getting an extension which I did.
I put the plants out early for my zone, but put gallon plastic water bottles over them after the bottoms of the container were cut off. It acts like a green house (cap has been removed) and it protected the plants form the cold spell we had.
Love it, love it, love it.

I am using it on my deck. It is the perfect size for my usage and being moveable allows me to reposition on deck as season changes and sunlight moves. I have another, purchased several years ago which I use on deck for holding flowers waiting to be transferred to the garden.

Best Uses
ever since moving to the SE I have had a hard time growing tomatoes--always had blossom end rot and splitting. Tried everything! With this system, I have had beautiful tomatoes! Loved it so much, got another system this year to grow peppers and one for my daughter to grow tomatoes! And so easy to move with wheels--great for when going away for a few days, just moved out of sun to keep moist longer. Plants grow so tall, need extension cage.

I bought this to put on my patio. It is perfect for my area. I have two tomato plants in it and they are thriving.
The potting soil mix and the fertilizer granules are included. All you need are two tomato plants!
Next year I will have two of these. I would like to see a double size option.
