Used this product two years ago and had wonderful results with the grow boxes. Last year, we used potting soil to save money which resulted in disaster. Few tomatoes, straggly plants, only about 1/10th the results of the previous year. This year, we are taking no chances. Buy the Gardner's Supply refill kit, you won't regret it!!

We have used this product for 3 years on our patio and it is easy to plant, and produces great tomatoes year after year. It does require lots of water in our dry climate (Colorado). It actually produces better tomatoes than our pampered raised beds.

A water-soaked spot at the blossom end of tomato fruits is the classic symptom of blossom-end rot. This relatively common garden problem is not a disease, but rather a physiological disorder caused by a calcium imbalance within the plant. It can occur in pepper, squash, cucumber, and melon fruits as well as tomatoes.

Tomatoes are consistently the most popular vegetable in American gardens. But for most gardeners, just any old tomato won't do.
