Comments about Tomato Success Kit Replenishment Pack:
I have used this product for a couple of years. The problem is they never send directions that are included in the original kit. Also the plastic is also not included. They should correct this problem, since this is really not a complete replenishment kit. It is only the soil and fertilizer. The fertilizer can only be used at the start of the season, since with plastic over the soil, as instructed in the original self watering kit, you can't refertilize after 4 weeks as the instructions on the bottle say. That is another problem with this system.

Comments about Tomato Success Kit Replenishment Pack:
I have been growing tomatoes in self-watering containers for years. It was a real nuisance to have to dump out/replace the soil each year. These kits are wonderful work-savers. I just pull up the old plants, stir up the soil with the added fertilizer, add replenishing soil to fill the container, stir some more, fill the water reservoir, let soil soak for a day or so, then set in my home-raised plants. Voila, done! But this week we had a hailstorm and my plants were decimated, (boo hoo), but we'll see how well they revive. Tomatoes are great self-restorers. One of the best features of the kit for me is the lightness of the sacks of soil. I am 90 yrs old, and have no trouble lifting them.

A water-soaked spot at the blossom end of tomato fruits is the classic symptom of blossom-end rot. This relatively common garden problem is not a disease, but rather a physiological disorder caused by a calcium imbalance within the plant. It can occur in pepper, squash, cucumber, and melon fruits as well as tomatoes.

Tomatoes are consistently the most popular vegetable in American gardens. But for most gardeners, just any old tomato won't do.
