I transplanted some lettuce seedlings into the container mix and the very next day I could see an obvious difference in their appearance. They've been growing like gangbusters so they obviously really like this soil. I am saving the tomato feeder for when I plant tomatoes late next month, but I've used it before (last season). My tomatoes did very well with it and the shaker makes for good control with spreading it around the plant. I do wish the soil wasn't quite so pricey so that I could buy more to have for a second container, but I just can't spare the money. I'm happy that at least what I did spend was not wasted or a disappointment.

This will be the fourth year I have used your tomato success set up on my patio. It has never failed me. I keep my family and friends supplied from only 3 plants that I put in the self watering container. The balance of nutrients is just right to produce delicous tomatoes and early in the season too. I plant early because if a cold night threatens I can cover the entire set-up with a black plastic bag overnight. All of the three plants thrive and produce and I use each years spent mulch to protect plants in my garden. No wste here.

In addition to using this mix for my two tomato success planters, I buy extra to use the potting mix for transplanting seedlings from small containers filled with germinating mix, to larger pots before placing them in the garden. We have a short growing season so plants need to get a good head start indoors before they go in to the garden. There is no sign of transplanting shock, the plants take off and grow rapidly. Of course I get extra fertilizer and red plastic sheets and use them in the garden for the rest of my tomatoes. A real bargain.
