Comments about Tomato Press:
This product was easy to setup and use. I strained a peck basket of tomatoes in no time. The clean up was a breeze.
Comments about Tomato Press:
This was purchased as a gift and the person decided they didn't like it, so it has been returned.

Comments about Tomato Press:
I've wanted this product for several years. This year I used my birthday money to treat myself. I must say it's one of the best gifts I've ever given myself. I purchased a bushel of Roma tomatoes from the local farmers market and called my sister over to help. We had the whole bushel processed & bubbling away on the stove in 2 hours. If there is one area that might benefit from a small tweak: it was easiest when one person was responsible for loading the hopper while the other was the crank operator. A great tool and a good sister bonding opportunity!

Comments about Tomato Press:
Great timesaver. No need to peel tomatoes. Makes GREAT puree with Roma tomatoes. I ordered the optional screen lit from the manufacturer for use with berries/ salsa's etc. A great buy.

Comments about Tomato Press:
I waited two years to purchase this product becaus of the investment, however I was very disappointed. It is hard to use because the suction cup to hold it in place does not work well. Also, the piece it self is light weight so when you try to grind things up it tips over. Assembly and breakdown were a pain also. I think I will look for one that has sturdy construction and is electric. This is the very first thing I have ever bought from Gardeners Supply that I was disappointed in.

Comments about Tomato Press:
We belong to a CSA where tomatoes come fast and furious in the summer. I bought the Roma Tomato Press to make high volume puree for freezing. After some initial difficulties with understanding the directions for the first assembly I was off and running. I quickly processed 50 lbs of tomatoes into beautiful seedless and skinless puree. The device comes apart for easy cleanup. The device is a combination of metal and plastic and my one concern is there are a few plastic parts that could be more vulnerable to breakage rendering the press less effective. Other than that I am very pleased with the purchase.

Comments about Tomato Press:
This is great if you can lots of tomatoes. There is absolutely no waste, all you have left to discard are peels and seeds.
No need to peel and core them first. I just wash, quarter & place in my soup kettle with bell peppers, onion & celery, then cook. Next I run them through the Tomato Press. I then reheat the sauce, put in jars & process using a water bath.

Comments about Tomato Press:
I used this to make tomato juice that I canned for later use in soups. I like the ease in assembly and clean up is fast. You can't apply too much pressure when putting plastic parts on because it felt like they would easily break. The suction wasn't strong enough so used the clamp. Wish the catalog had the extra screens listed as optional purchase. Found them on the manufacturer website. (less $ too)

Comments about Tomato Press:
We bought this to use for preparing tomatoes for canning. We made sauce, paste and salsa from 125 lbs of Roma and Big Boy tomatoes. We did not peel the Romas, just put them through the hopper and turned the crank. Easy, peasy, lemon-squeezy! But the Big Boys tended to jam up the mechanism, possibly from not being as ripe as the Romas? We found that it worked better if we chopped them into small pieces, which made it almost as much work as not using the machine. I also found it difficult to disassemble for cleaning, as the pulp from the tomatoes made the separator cone slippery. On the whole, VERY glad we bought this!
