These deceptively simple tomato plant surrounds will produce healthier, more productive tomato plants with less effort from you. When planting, just slip an automator around the stem of each seedling to suppress weeds and protect against cutworms. Perforated cones direct water to the root zone. Bright red color triggers a natural plant protein that makes tomatoes mature faster and produce more fruit. Easy to use, but provides a big boost to your tomatoes.

Comments about Tomato Automators, Set of 3:
I used this product in our raised beds and found that it did nicely for most of the season but the stalk of the tomatoes got bigger than the hole. When I attempted to remove the container from around the base of the tomato plant, the container split in half. The intense California sun seemed to make these units brittle and many just fell apart at the end of the season. I had six of these and only one survived intact by the end of the season.

Comments about Tomato Automators, Set of 3:
I am using these units in my riased bed. We are having hotter and longer growing seasons these past two years and do not think the anything will change. My tomato plants need this product to preform better. Consistent moisture is extremely important especially at the cottage on Lake Ontario. We are not there 7 days a week and this product will aid in the days we are not there. I plan on using them also with other crops. My past experience with this product has been very positive.

It is putting the water and plant food where I want but the trays will only hold up for one season I'm afraid. Therefore they are overpriced.

Comments about Tomato Automators, Set of 3:
My 2 young cherry tomato plants were not thriving; they were skinny little pencils with great distance between leaves, standing pitifully in the center of tall almost-empty tomato cages. I blamed their their increasingly shady location. Hoping to boost any potential production I bought a package of Tomato Automators - for only [$], it was worth a try. Three days ago I installed them on the exisitng tomato plants without difficulty, though I did break one lower leaf in the process. The plastic trays have more depth than I had expected, but troweling away a bit of soil settled them into place. I put the edges of the Automators diagonal to the square tomato cages and did not add fertilizer to the holes as directed because a slow release fertilizer was already incorporated into the soil when planting in May. The plants got a generous drink of water the next day, normal routine. When I checked on them this morning, to my great surprise I found that those 2 little plants have grown at least 15 inches in just under 3 days. They're poking out of the tops of their cages! I can only attribute it to the influence of the Tomato Automators! Nothing else has changed. I'm shocked! I wasn't expecting that kind of effect. I can only hope that production will be great and those plants will be teaming with sweet little red tomatoes before long. It's only been 3 days but so far, I'm a believer!

Comments about Tomato Automators, Set of 3:
I should've listened to others, but I had to try it myself. Not sure if they make my tomatoes happier (it's early in the season), but they were hard to install. I was afraid I'd killed the plants trying to get these on. I actually cut out more of a space so I wouldn't hurt my tomatoes. They might work well, but it was a frustrating time to get them on - then I had to staple them to the ground because they didn't stay flat.

I felt that these were difficult to sit flat on the ground around my tomatoes. When it came time to put my tomato ladders up, I had to remove them anyway.

Comments about Tomato Automators, Set of 3:
I just planted my garden this week, so used all 6 that I purchased...it is a great idea, and I pray that they will work as promised. They will stack and store for next year too! I like the idea that they will water my tomatoes slowly, and reduce the possibility of cut worms.

Comments about Tomato Automators, Set of 3:
Love, love, love this product. Some of you would say it's not worth the cost for flimsy plastic. But this works! It keeps the tomatoes upright, disease free and it's easy to water and fertilize.

Tomatoes are consistently the most popular vegetable in American gardens. But for most gardeners, just any old tomato won't do.
