- Generous Capacity: You'll get extra soil capacity and deep reservoirs not found in their American counterparts. Trough Planter holds 130 quarts of soil and 4 gallons of water.

- Self-Watering: Water only once a week, thanks to a dual-action system that uses cotton wick and evaporation

Comments about Terrazza Trough Planters:
We have a sunny roof deck and most of our containers need daily water. I've watered this planter exactly once, when I first set it up. My plants are thriving, even when I'm out of town. By capturing rainwater, this technology saves both labor and water. A winner.

Comments about Terrazza Trough Planters:
I love the box although I'm not sure the bottom fills properly. The little red dot doesn't seem to work. I should have checked it before I planted. I still love the box and the capacity. Looks great outside by my pond.

Comments about Terrazza Trough Planters:
My goal is to outsmart murderous Norway maple roots, which prevent me from planting anything to screen a hideous but useful brush pile nestled among them. The trough planter outsmarts them: 1)it is large enough to support tough shrubs such as privet, forsythia or Ailanthus seedlings which it dwarfs into beautiful, delicate looking geometric shrubs! 2)it sequesters water from the maples in its 4-gallon reservoir, 3)place the trough on bricks or casters and an air gap is created, thwarting otherwise invasive maple roots.(Just be sure to give the trough sufficient support. If casters, requires 6--not 4. Likewise, brick supports.)

They were easy to assemble. After I added soil mix and put plants in though, the float didn't work and overfilled the bottom water tray. Should have tested it BEFORE adding soil.

Comments about Terrazza Trough Planters:
Two things are very important to keep in mind when ordering the planter AND the extension kit. We wanted to have a total length of three along our driveway wall, but nowhere does it recommend a single box + TWO extension kits. We were left with one single box paired with one double length box. It's still not bad looking, but we would have preferred a continuous unit because it gives more planting space. The plants certainly look great and are growing better than they ever did in plain pots in that location.
The instructions have you assembling some parts early in the process that could/should be put on later because you run the risk of damage when assembling the side panels. Read directions carefully and use your own judgment especially when assembling the feet. If any panels are even slightly bent, as one of mine was, it will definitely take two people to snap together.
