Have used this stuff for years in my outdoor potted plants and with touchier ones that go in the ground - gives them a good start without having to struggle for water. Definitely not an exclusive to Gardner Supply tho.. :) Search online and you can find it several places, but there's no appreciable price difference. Will use it as long as I can get it!

I added over 50 new plants in my landscaping, and even with last year's drought, I didn't loose a single plant. Also cuts down on the amount of watering needed.

Love this product. It is a much more consistent way of managing plants, decreases water waste and allow more consistent plant growth and production. It is a bit pricey to start with but quickly pays for itself.

I use these crystals in my outdoor containers and raised beds. They help to "smooth the edges" during the dog days of summer here in the high desert of New Mexico. A little goes a long way. And I often find one of the swelled crystals sticking to the roots of plants that I am transplanting showing that the plants really do use them.

I discovered these crystals several years ago. Gardener's Supply is the only place to buy this particular brand, which outperforms other similar products yet they are non-toxic and degrade to amend the soil, not deplete it. You need to add a little more of the crystals than the directions indicate but don't overdo it. Although they may seem expensive, the #5 container lasts forever. I have all my friends buying these and swearing by them. I can't garden without them anymore.
