I purchased both the 8" and the 6" boxes. The larger ones are lovely and have a good capacity for many plants. The smaller ones were not six inches as described, but only five by five, way too small for even the most petite of plants. Liners which would help retain water further lessen the available space for plants. A plant purchased in a 4" pot would have virtually no space for roots to spread out. Disappointing given the strong reputation of this company.

These are attractive, especially once they start to weather a bit. However, they are a very basic design, and they are poor at retaining moisture. Mine had to be watered at least once/day, sometimes twice, during the hottest part of the summer. I like the way they look, but if I had it to do over again, I would buy something else.

Seems like a solid, good window box. Feels well made. No plants in it yet, but the squirrels already seem to like digging in it.

These could be deeper so that you could add larger or more plants to it. Also, if they're windowboxes, why do we have to buy the brackets separately? The brackets should come with it (and, when you buy the brackets, you don't get any screws or fasteners or instructions -- [...]). Not worth the money IMHO.
