It's a great container for outdoor vegetable gardening when space is an issue.

Comments about Tall Terrazza Planter:
I have 5 Terrazza planters-several different styles. I grow the best tomatoes and other veggies and get lots of positive comments re: looks of planters and quality of veggies.

Comments about Tall Terrazza Planter:
Because of arthritis, I can't dig and weed in a garden like I used to. This planter gave me back my vegetable garden. It's about half the size of a "square-foot garden" plot (which would be 4'x4'). I have a squash, beans, a bell pepper, peas, and carrots in my one planter. Watering is a cinch and only needed periodically, instead of daily. No weeding is necessary because you use bagged soil. I want to get a second one next season and grow even more vegetables.

Comments about Tall Terrazza Planter:
I had a difficult time putting these together. The instructions regarding the edge/trim inside the reservoir was confusing to me. A little bit of blood was shed to get those darn parts to snap in place!
After that - the planter itself is awesome. I like the convenience of the water reservoir. It holds a mountain of dirt, so if your plants don't require a deep root system, you may not like them.
The float indicator does seem to stick a little, but all I do is bump it a bit and allow it to settle before assessing water level.
Overall - a very nice product.

Comments about Tall Terrazza Planter:
I invested in four of these planters, happily thinking I had finally found a solution to keeping my vegetable garden out of reach of my small dogs. Unfortunately, instead of creating a separate, solid one piece leg design for these planters, the manufacturer simply provided short, patched-on leg pieces to their line of terazza planters that sit on the ground. The two-piece construction of the legs is a disaster waiting to happen. The planter is large and heavy with wet soil, and a full water reservoir adds even more weight. Within a month of purchase, one of mine has already crashed to the ground, and once the legs are broken, there is no way to repair them. I'm just lucky my plants survived and one of my dogs was not crushed under the weight of the planter when the legs failed. In fact, to forestall a tragedy, I had to invest another large sum of money in four sturdy wrought iron aquarium stands to replace the legs and give my planters sturdy support without detracting too much from their decorative appearance in my patio. The only good thing about these planters is that I am now being given a chance to warn others away from a product with such a shoddy and unsafe design flaw.

Used on the patio, but left the legs off because it was too wobbly with legs. Not worth getting the tall planter.

Comments about Tall Terrazza Planter:
I live in the "high prairie" which is really desert. I put the planter on my porch to attempt to keep it from the deer (which come up on the porch anyway). I planted tomatoes in it(!) and was pleased and astonished at how much water it holds. It's pretty, easy to assemble for a clutz like me, and very effective.

Comments about Tall Terrazza Planter:
Have two of these planter in an area that gets a lot of sun and is subjected to extreme heat. Previous planters required daily watering and still, I lost some plants. However, these planters water from the bottom, so even deep roots receive water. And the reservoirs are large enough, that I only have to fill them once a week. So far, lot's of blooms and no lost plants!

This trough is perfect planted with an herb garden ,on our back deck right by the kitchen door. It is so easy to grow big, beautiful bunches of herbs....and out of the resident groundhog's reach too!

Comments about Tall Terrazza Planter:
I purchased this item for my father as a birthday gift. We did a test, we planted 8 tomato plants in regular pots, and 8 in this self watering planter. Its amazing how much better the plants are growing in this planter, my Dad is 75yrs old and told me these are the best tomato plants he's ever grown. The plants in the other pots are not even half the size! Its probably a combination of the organic soil you sell, and this planter.
The only downfall, there is two sets of directions, one for the planter and one for the legs. It wasn't until I was done putting the planter together that I noticed the 2nd set of directions for the legs. The problem....the legs need to go on first. Its was too difficult to disasemble the entire planter so we didn't end up using the legs.
