- VIDEO: How the Pop-Up Covers Work
- Safe and effective barrier excludes many types of pests, including insects, birds and animals
- Reduce the need for pesticide sprays
- Quick and simple to install
Self-supporting mesh enclosures keep out insects, birds and animal pests like rabbits — even dogs and cats — while letting in light and rain. Fine mesh allows good air circulation while shielding plants from harsh, drying winds. Pop-Ups install in minutes and fit snugly over 4' x 4' or 4' x 8' raised beds; they can also be used over Grow Beds and in-ground plants. Built-in corner loops and anchoring stakes (included) let you secure Pop-Ups into the ground. Covers fold flat for easy storage. The 48" height is ideal for larger plants like peppers, potatoes, broccoli and blueberries.

Pros
- Design Is Functional
- Netting Is Good
- Seems sturdy
Cons
- Did Not Fit My Raised Bed
Best Uses
I ended up taking the shock poles out of the frame and putting the netting over PVC pipes that I installed inside the corners of the raised garden bed; then I put the netting over the PVC poles. Works great! It's very nice having two zippered openings that also seal shut with the velcro across the bottom.

- Within One Week In Tatter
Best Uses
Within one week it was in tatters. Torn apart by the wind. If you purchase this item take it down if any wind occures. It was too much for me to handle in the wind. Once I anchored it down with heavy duty staples the damage occured so I suggest that you not use staples but something less permanent.

I purchased 2 low pop-ups and 1 tall one out of desperation because the squirrels kept on digging out my plants and caterpillars ate the rest.
I disagree with the people who said they were hard to set up. If you've ever set up a pop-up tent, you'll see there's nothing to it at all. The only thing that I had to change was the stakes because they might work in really hard grounds but we have SAND here in Florida and the stakes provided do not hold anything down. You can buy sturdier camping stakes, but I used cheap tall bamboo stakes bought at a major chain of garden centers for a few dollars. I cut them in half and drove about 5-6 inches into the ground at an angle away from the pop-ups, through the loops (so about 30 inches of bamboo is sticking out of the ground). I use 2-3 stakes per pop-up, no more. We've had several very STRONG wind and thunderstorms and my pop-ups have not budged! We even had hail just like night and they were not damaged at all. I like that there are loops for the stakes even in the corners.
I have used the tall one over some tall tomato plants that I had in a raised bed but I am now using it to protect peppers and potatoes plants that I'm growing in pots. They are beautiful and have not been bothered or eaten up.
The 2 low ones are being used to protect my chard and lettuce seedlings in my raised bed. The bed itself is wider than the pop-up so I've had to set the pop-ups on top of the bed and use planters on the ground around the raised bed to block the openings so the squirrels won't sneak in. So far, it's worked. I wish the low ones had a flap opening because it can be hard to see through the fabric and I have to lift them up to see my plants better. The tall one has flap openings on 2 sides, like a tent, and it's so convenient to just unzip the side to poke your head in.
I was leary of spending so much on these at first but I'm really happy with them and will probably buy some more as I'm expanding my garden beds and in the future I will build my beds to completely fit INSIDE the tall ones so I can have the flap openings and not have to awkwardly fit them over my pre-existing beds.
I like that they each come with their own storage bag too.

This works much better in the 4x4 2 ft. tall size, which I also purchased. Not pleased with this taller, 4x8 size. Construction quality is poor, with several broken internal wires, and numerous mis-stitched seams. The large pop-up is too heavy for the flimsy wire supports. We could not get the unit to stand by itself. The stakes were way too small to anchor it, and wind or rain collapses it. We had to make an inner frame from PVC pipe (about $15) to slip the pop-up over, in order to be able to use this at all. Too few loops on bottom edge for adequate anchoring, so gaps let insects and even small animals inside. We will need to further modify the bottom edge. But so far, my chickens have not gotten into it, and that was my primary reason for purchasing this.

- Raised Garden Bed Cover
We purchased these for our raised garden beds. We have problems with squirrels, birds, possums and an occasional snake!! These work great, plants are protected, and easy to get to them to water and tend them. No problems with varmints!! We already have blooms on our tomato plants!!!

My dog likes to eat my chile pepper plants, so i bought these tents to keep her away. the only thing is i'm having to open the flaps periodically to allow polination to take place. It would be nice if there were a way for the bees to get in and out with out putting flaps up

I really wanted to use this. The size was perfect. But it was always semi-collapsed and never stood up right. Always falling down. Probably the "low" sizes are fine.
So far these 2 garden Pop-up Pest Protectors have been a very effective barrier for my vegetable garden, started in 2 of my 5 raised beds. They are made of high quality durable materials, that let the sun and water in effectively. If they bring my vegetables to harvest, I will purchase 3 more for next season to expand. However, the ground stakes that came with them are hilariously thin and tiny to effectively safequard these from anything as a stabilizer.I strongly suggest the manufacturer re-think what they include. We purchased heavy duty stakes to prevent the Pop-Up from being blown or pulled up by anything (other than us).
Pros
- I thought it was 8x4
Cons
- Too short for needs
Best Uses
- Return
The 4x4 can be used, but the picture I saw was a woman standing next to a pop-up. I actually needed a 8x4 not a 4x8. I am retuning all three, but the 4x4s should work out fine.
