Exclusive | Pop-Ups Provide Instant Pest Control

  • VIDEO: How the Pop-Up Covers Work
  • Safe and effective barrier excludes many types of pests, including insects, birds and animals
  • Reduce the need for pesticide sprays
  • Quick and simple to install

Self-supporting mesh enclosures keep out insects, birds and animal pests like rabbits — even dogs and cats — while letting in light and rain. Fine mesh allows good air circulation while shielding plants from harsh, drying winds. Pop-Ups install in minutes and fit snugly over 4' x 4' or 4' x 8' raised beds; they can also be used over Grow Beds and in-ground plants. Built-in corner loops and anchoring stakes (included) let you secure Pop-Ups into the ground. Covers fold flat for easy storage. The 48" height is ideal for larger plants like peppers, potatoes, broccoli and blueberries.

      Can't be used without support

      By Jim in PA

      from Media, PA

      Pros

        Cons

        • Needs support
        • No Outside Loops

        Best Uses

Conceptually great, but poorly executed. Absolutely cannot be used without staking with tomato stakes on all four corners. No provision to add these supports, you need to cut through seams to use zip ties. Poorly sewn stitching on zippers.

          • For Little Garden

I'm using the pest control pop-up because I was so frustrated with my garden a few years ago when everything got eaten by pests. A friend suggested this tent and even though I have placed it at the front of my house, it looks attractive and is a perfect size garden for my husband and I. I wish it was a little bigger but it's really ok for us. I really like the fact that you can get in on both sides through the zip up doors. The velcro attached bottom side is easy to open and shut. It lets in the rain and sun and the plants are growing well!

          • Vegetable Or Herb Cover

We are using it for a raised garden bed - vegetables and herbs. Nothing harmful gets in - just sun and rain. Plants are thriving.
No assembly-just pop it on. Much easier and more affordable than fencing.
Thoughtful design- zippers on 3 sides for easy entry plus velcro to hold up the net while you're working.
We bought larger stakes to help hold it in place in very windy conditions.
          Highly recommend.

After years of nasty pests these Pop-ups really helped save my spring gardens. This is the first year that I did not have to re-buy and replant vegies that were destroyed by rodent pests.

I used heavy duty land stakes to get this secured and added some stakes inside to keep it standing tall in the middle. Now my tomatoes are keeping it up! Doesn't seem to cut out much light but def keep the small animals out!

These must be supported externally with tomato stakes at each corner, as they are too flimsy to survive even a breath of wind. No provision is provided to attach stakes, had to cut slits and use sip ties. Seams tearing out. Poor quality, I am disappointed.

                  • Cabbage Worms

Love these. Cabbage worms are a big problem so I raise all my cabbage family in them. No bees needed. Agree with earlier comments about staples. They are OK at the corners but I use scrap 6x6 laid beside the pop up in the middle. Wind is an issue.

This tall pop up screen worked exactly as is was supposed to. It fit perfectly over my 4 x 4 raised garden bed. I had a problem with a neighborhood cat. This solved my problem. My plants still get plenty of air and sunshine and the birds don't get to my fruit before I do. It closes with zippers and velcro. It is easy to open the sides and tend my garden as needed. Great product overall. I highly recommend this.

                    • Did Not Fit My Raised Bed

                    Best Uses

I ended up taking the shock poles out of the frame and putting the netting over PVC pipes that I installed inside the corners of the raised garden bed; then I put the netting over the PVC poles. Works great! It's very nice having two zippered openings that also seal shut with the velcro across the bottom.

                        Best Uses

Within one week it was in tatters. Torn apart by the wind. If you purchase this item take it down if any wind occures. It was too much for me to handle in the wind. Once I anchored it down with heavy duty staples the damage occured so I suggest that you not use staples but something less permanent.
