After several years of starting my squash seeds in a south facing window, I tried the grow-light approach. My seeds germinated in about a week, easily half the time they took sitting in the window. I'm looking forward to planting out sturdy seedlings at the end of the month and hopefully harvesting more squash than ever.

Plants get the right amount of light. Does not take up much space. The construction is kind of filmsy but I did not want to invest a lot. Now that I have one, I am considering getting a bigger unitecause it makes sed starting so easy.

Trying to grow from seed this year because it is hard to find plants for partial/full shade. Had another older type of grow-light which was not doing the job. Bought this Sunlight Garden which is doing an outstanding job. The seedlings are growing as desired. The method of raising and lowering light is best I have seen. Only problem is cord to electrical power pulls out of fixture too easily.

So easy to put together. I had two small children 'helping' me and we managed it in under an hour. I guess the light is a tad crooked, but this doesn't bother me. The first batch of seedlings sprouted in two days. Might have to transplant them to pots before outside because they are getting so big so fast. Very happy with this product.

suggest you insert short power cord first to insure that tubes are in the right place. I followed instructions and had connectors on the right side, but the cable wound't fit.
