Our Vermont-made SunLite® Gardens employ the latest in lighting technology to give your plants the ideal quality and intensity of light for optimum growth. You can start plants from seed, grow herbs, houseplants, or even try your hand at growing orchids. Our new, ultra-light fixtures weigh just 6 lbs and have a slimmer profile to give plants more headroom. They measure a full 14" wide to ensure even light coverage across each shelf. Inside, there are two T-5 bulbs that produce an abundance of brilliant, full-spectrum light. These bulbs use 45% less energy than standard fluorescent bulbs and provide up to 10,000 hours of use. All fixtures have their own pull chains for easy height adjustments and electronic ballasts to eliminate any annoying buzzing. This complete SunLite Garden includes frame and fixtures, T-5 bulbs, watertight trays and casters.

The only thing I wasn't pleased with is that the power cord for each light fixture pulls on the light fixture and makes it slightly uneven in the way it hangs.

We gave this as a gift to our son and his wife who have become avid gardeners. Our own is about 15 years old, still working perfectly. I get an early start on summer bulbs, seedlings and also over-winter geranium cuttings. Spring comes late to this area!
