I bought the origional version of this seed starter a few years ago. The light fixture died so I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of my replacement fixure because it has 3 bulbs instead of 2 and an expanded hood that will better light the flats. Both wonderful improvements! Either way, this system is the best, easiest to use. Combined with the APS starter system I rarely have any seed failures and grow beautiful tomatoes and flowers to set out in the hoop house and then the garden.

I use this unit to start a wide range of vegetable, herb and flower seeds and to grow them to planting outside size.
Compared to other units I have, this is by far the easiest to set up and to adjust as the plants grow - very important features. Since this is a long unit many plants fit under it nicely. The new grow bulbs are lightweight and long lasting and provide brilliant light for fast plant growth.
