I'm not exactly what cooking has to do with rating this product as I used this as a grow light for my vegetable and flower seedlings. :) I'm happy with the quality and construction of the light. It was easy to set up and was perfect for my needs. I have a small garden, 4 areas equaling 64 square feet. If you have a larger garden you may need several of these lights or one of the light shelving kits.

This light provided adequate lighting for my seedlings. This was the first year I was actually able to get seedlings to survive long enough to be planted outside! I lost some seedlings only because I didn't harden them off properly.

These lights work great - easy to use and really get the plants going - only con is that a chain attaches and detaches with difficulty - plan to move your chain (as the plants grow) from the top not from the light
