I ordered these because there was a sale on. I was thinking that I'd use them next season because it was getting a bit late this year. However, when they arrived I realized my humungous dahlia plant had branches that were about to topple over with developing buds. Plant stakes to the rescue! The went in place easily, the color is inconspicuous, and they've held up the stalks and the the very big, very heavy "dinnerplate" blossoms without a problem for over a month. I think I'll be getting more of these.

i got these to support some very tall orienpet lilies but they are very lightweight and not equal to the task. the description says they allow the plant to sway in the wind, which i should have picked up on before i ordered. i got the 6ft length and they bend from their own weight before they even have a plant to support. i would send them back but the postage would probably be as expensive as the refund. i DO like the way the loops that hold the stem are designed - you can slide the stem in, rather than thread it on from the top - so i may try attaching them to some wood stakes to hold my lilies.

I have some very tall lilies. These work well but to bend with the weight of the flower heads. On shorter lilies they are terrific. Perhaps the ground spikes should go deeper or the metal be a bit thicker.

I REALLY wish plants would read their lables! My oriental lilies must be on steroids. The 32" ones are 60" and the 48" ones reached 70". Panicky, I ordered the 4-ring supports. While not easy, I managed to work the mature stalks into the rings. Handily, they come in two pieces! Lost a few leaves, but better than snapped off lilies. Now I can enjoy the flowers and heavenly fragrance in a week or so. These supports are great, allowing the stalk to sway in the breeze naturally. I'll need to order more!
