  • Easy way to sift compost to remove uncomposted clumps
  • Use sifted compost in beds and as mulch

    Comments about Steel Compost Sieve:

The sieve is sturdy, I use it to sift my compost. I wish they offered more sieves with different size mesh. It's a great product, I highly recommend this to any gardener that makes their own compost.

      Comments about Steel Compost Sieve:

In the winter I use this sifter/sieve to separate my wood ash from the rest of my woodstove ash pan, and the rest of the year I use it to separate my finished compost from the portion which is not quite ready for the garden. It's a great all-around tool, well made and the perfect size to fit over a 5-gallon bucket.

          Good product-But
is slightly larger than diameter of a 5 Gallon (20 liter) pail. The pail is at a nice height if you want to sit while doing the long jobs. So maybe offer two sizes??

The compost material is light and fluffy. Used the left over from the sieve around the plants as mulch.

I have been using this product to sift debris from rocks. I use them for decorative landscaping around flower bed. I also have used it to sift dirt to use for patching bare holes in lawn. It sifts dirt to a fine powder to plant grass seed.

                  Comments about Steel Compost Sieve:

I purchased this product when the sifter my husband made 20+ years ago finally fell apart. It has held up well through 6 weeks of hard use. In addition to sifting finished compost I also used it to remove small rocks from my flower beds. The size is just right for me but could be considered too small for some. Perhaps in the future GS could offer a larger size.
