We have lots of windows so this product works well for us
used these for christmas window decor and kept them in the window ,since they add just a touch of light and a little more interest year round!
I bought these so that I wouldn't have to worry if they stayed in place and so I could have my new bottom up honeycomb shades down and still have a good seal on the shade for insulation purposes. This was assuming that with the light in place the shade could sit on the sill of the window. Unfortunately the "candlestick" juts out too far for a good seal. I kept them because with the light on I don't need to worry about burning the shade or starting a fire. The glow is warm and golden which I like - not too yellow. I had one bulb that was decidedly less bright and a call to the Gardener Supply yielded not one but two replacement bulbs which solved the problem. They actually arrived the next day! I love coming home at night to see my candles glowing in my two front windows and will keep them there throughout the winter months. The lights turn on and off automatically with the sensors in the "flame" part. Also, these are good looking in daylight, too. My only complaint is that they are not tighter to the window so my shades are flush and keeping a tighter seal on the window - hence one less star than perfect.
Pros
- Very Attractive Candles
Cons
- Didn~~~apos~~~t Fit My Windows
Best Uses
- Great for Christmas
I had to return because the candle sticks didn't fit my windows which was an error on my part.
I just recently lost my husband. It felt good to display candlesticks in my window this Christmas to celebrate 52-1/2 years of our life together, including other dear ones.
Pros
- Enjoyed The Convenience

Although I had read some of the negative comments about this candle, I ordered four of them and have enjoyed the " no hazzle " display. Nice to have in the windows
If you have tilt-in easy-cleaning window panes, these window candles do not fit under the sash! Tilt-in window panes have a thumb ridge right above the sash so that you can open and close the windows. Unlike standard windows, that ridge sticks out and won't let you stick them the candle stands under the sash and close the window. I've had to create a freestanding stand for each candle to make it work. Please note what kind of windows you have before you purchase this item!

We chose the pewter finish and bought four for our front bow window. They are crank out windows and at first I thought there would be an issue because they aren't the traditional up/down type. No worries, they fit in fine. And look beautiful, both inside and out. They remind me of when I was little and my mom & dad would decorate every window in the house with candles. I'm going to order more for the kitchen and bedroom windows too. Thanks for adding such Christmas ambiance to our home.
Pros
- Battery Operated
- Light sensor
Cons
- Yellow light
Best Uses
These candles work well but the directions are awful. I had to call Customer Service to get instructions for how to activate the light sensor. Small hint, the sensing eye is in the base of the light bulb. The sensor needs to be directed to the street in order to sense the change in sunlight and turn on and off. The only bad thing about these lights is that the glow is orangey yellow and you can't buy replacement bulbs. I had to return them but if yellow is what you need these are a good buy.
