Such a simple product that is so effective. I haven't pulled a seedling by mistake forgetting what was planted. I've added a hint about what the seedling looks like when it sprouts. on the back side.

these markers are great and guests to my home enjoy knowing the names of the beautiful flowers in my garden. The markers need to be rewritten before the fall or winter season, so that they will accurately and legibly reflect the new growth sprouting from the earth in the spring.
I have also found the markers a useful tool in maintaining the identity of bulbs lifted from the ground for indoor wintering. I just toss a marker in the container with the bulb(s) which are then readily identifiable in the spring.

These markers would be great if the legs would just hold up for more than a year or so. If the legs would last, maybe being able to get new plates for them would be a good product, handy for marking annuals, or to replace when a specimen hits the dust.
