These durable markers are neat-looking, last for years, and really stay put. Standard Markers have galvanized wire legs and etched-zinc nameplates for recording variety names, sources and planting dates. Ideal for marking the position of bulbs at planting time so you don't dig them up by mistake! Zinc-coated nameplates on galvanized wire legs. We recommend our permanent Paint Marker, sold separately.

Now when spring cleanup comes around I can tell where I placed those items that I planted in the fall. I used a label maker to mark the items.

Comments about Standard Markers, Set of 25:
Many roses no longer come with metal name tags and I wanted to easily see the names. I placed these markers next to each of my roses with its name clearly marked. They work great, and look nice. They also look very durable.

Markers are being used in Heirloom Vegetable Garden at our farm museum. They are a durable and affordable way to let folks know what's growing in the garden and generate a lot of interest in the heirlooms.

Comments about Standard Markers, Set of 25:
I initially purchased these in order to mark the placement of bulbs so I can move them at the proper time. Once all of the foliage dies back it becomes a matter of "dig" and "search". I quickly realized that while some plants will be labeled "one-for-one", there were others that I want to add to mass plantings. For those, rather than use a permanent marker I added a strip of removable painters tape (the blue kind) that is the same width as the marker. This makes each one easy to locate and once transplanted I can remove the tape and have another marker to use as needed. For my permanent plantings,(roses, etc.) I'm trying to include the variety, scientific name and any other info I can fit on the label (and that I can find). The markers look good in my gardens and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Comments about Standard Markers, Set of 25:
I needed a couple of dozen markers for veggies and herbs. I tried some homemade markers, and another type of copper I bought. Both were very unsuccessful. These are just what I needed and I am really pleased.
