We've made our popular Tomato Ladders even better. They still have 7mm steel uprights and our exclusive "plant cradle" crosspieces that give multiple places for vines to rest. But now they're modular and stackable, so you can arrange them any way you like. Each set includes six 32-1/2" tall sections. Use singly to support eggplants and peppers; stack two for bush tomatoes; stack three for tall, indeterminate tomatoes. These are the sturdiest ladders you can buy — 20% thicker than others on the market — with a long-lasting, weatherproof powder coating. (We have some that are 15 years old and still look as good as new.) Tomato Ladders will make the most of your garden space, reduce damage from pests and diseases, and give you a bigger harvest of delicious, unblemished fruit. Ladders nest for compact off-season storage. To order this item in Green, please call 1-800-427-3363.

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:
I purchased a dozen of these, primary intended use was for tomatoes. However I appreciated the flexibility in stacking, so they can be used for peas, beans, etc.
Another postive is the sturdiness of the steel. I always hated the flimsy cages purchased a local hardware stores. They tangled up easily and would get bent. That is not something you ever have to worry about with these stacking ladders.
The negative has to do with the coating. Before the end of the very first season of use, the coating was flaking off and had significantly faded, and the steel was rusting. It made separating the stacked pieces very difficult. My husband had to take a hammer to them to get them apart. I am in process of putting coats of rustoleum spray paint on them. I would buy these again, but next time I will paint them before first use.

I used these for three tomato plants last spring. Before the growing season was over the soldered metal bars broke apart. The color has also faded dramatically.

Worked great for my determinate tomato plants. Not sure how larger plants would do.
