It took our 8-month (17 lb) West Highland Terrier puppy about three days to tear the toy apart, remove the eyes and all the cotton stuffing.
This toy is NOT tough enough for puppies.

My dog tears up toys. I was hoping this would be a little more dog proof than it is, but if your dog, like mine, rips toys apart, this one won't last long.

This is not a durable toy for an active dog. This toy did not last ten minutes before one leg was bitten in half, and not long before the whole toy was 'loved to pieces'.

The dog tore this toy apart with in 1 week but the cheaper toys bought at wal.mart are still in 1 peice. Maybe it the materal but the dog just put a paw on it and pulled. He palys and pulls with the wal.mart toys more and they are still together.

I loved my squeaker fox. It was so much fun to play with. I could chew on it and throw it around and make him squeak after I learned that the squeakers were in the extremities and not the body. However, my mistress knows how persistent I am. I'm very sorry that I destroyed my favorite squeaker.

My 11 month old cockapoo destroyed this toy in a matter of hours, biting through the fabric and tearing off the ears and pulling out the green inner fill. It was listed as "practically indestructible" but maybe it should be reserved for non-puppies! I was disappointed, as it was fun to watch her flap it around and shake her head with it! I would recommend it to a friend, but with the caution that it is not always indestructible!
