Our Area Solar Light shines with 16 LEDs and is not only brighter than other solar lights on the market, it also outshines many low-voltage lights. Yet high light output is just part of the story. This light is superior in every way to the cheaper ones you see elsewhere that last a single season, if you're lucky. Ours has a seamless, weather-tight, anodized aluminum housing (not the cheap plastic casings found on many lights) and the circuitry is soldered by hand. Every unit is tested before it leaves the factory. Plus, this area light provides a wider angle of coverage than most spotlights.
The light turns on automatically at dusk, and runs up to 12 hours on a full day's charge. It has high-capacity, long-lasting, earth-friendly NiMH batteries that keep it shining even after several cloudy days. May be mounted on the lawn, on a deck or on a wall; the solar panel mounts separately so it can be positioned for optimal solar exposure — up to 15 feet away. LEDs never need replacing.

Comments about Area Solar Spotlight:
I plan to return this product. Even after 3 days of full sunlight, the light will not hold a charge. It is bright and works great for about 3 hours and then turns dim. The other smaller spotlights I have gotten from Gardener Supply hold their charge overnight until almost morning. For the price paid, I would expect it to last for the same duration of time with full illumination.

Comments about Area Solar Spotlight:
We love this solar light which we use in the desert garden to light up our very tall palm tree right on up through the fronds. Our neighbors love the view, too. We are ordering more to spotlight other areas of our garden at night. We recently converted to solar energy on our house so this solar product agrees with our "green" values. Speaking of value -- it's a terrific price for such a quality product! We had a bid of $1,400 to have electric spotlights installed in our yard. We are spending $300 to do the whole job with your solar spotlights instead! Wahoo!

Comments about Area Solar Spotlight:
Only in use for one month but so far does an excellent job of providing excellent lighting of a 20 foot wide horizontal entrance sign/wall;glass solar panel should last long time and not cloud up like plastic ones along with a large size to capture sufficient sun light; auto on/off works well for night time lighting. Definitely of commercial/industrial grade compared to cheaper and much less effective solar lights available at typical do-it-your-self home supply stores--you get what you pay for.

Comments about Area Solar Spotlight:
We use this light to illumine our front door. It isn't too bright, just a soft light just like I wanted. It was so easy to install and it is solar so it doesn't add to our electric bill. I bought it for a Christmas light, but I think I'll leave it up all year. It makes our home look so welcoming.

We are flooding the back of our home with light for security and we can see our 2 Airedales at night. Plan on purchasing another. The light is bright and lasts all night.

Comments about Area Solar Spotlight:
This unit was well-rated and seemed robust. It was easy to assemble and install. It worked great the 1st night and then after a day of sun, it rained at night and it stopped working.

Comments about Area Solar Spotlight:
This solar light is simply not bright enough. The light it throws is very dim. Nowhere near to my low voltage lights. I live in Houston and get a lot of sunlight each day but this light just doesn't shine enough to provide a true spotlight.

Comments about Area Solar Spotlight:
We have four sets of Gardner's solar lights. The single spotlight lights our sign in total and lasts all night. It is weather resistant from extreme sunlight. wind, snow, and rain. The light is bright.
