solar led string lights so-so display

Comments about Solar-Powered String Lights:

I was somewhat disappointed by the display offered by the solar light string - especially for the cost. Even in full sun for an entire day here in Massachusetts in December, the display is not as bright as I had hoped. On cloudy days, it's present, but dim. Also, I had hoped for a warmer light (as many new leds boast), not the icy blue-white of 1st generation leds. Also, the whole string only adequately lit a single 3&1/2-foot-tall Alberta spuce for Christmas display. I can only hope it proves durable, so I don't feel like I really overspent.

        Comments about Solar-Powered String Lights:

Great idea. Bought solar Christmas light string for tree house where there is no electricity. Takes forever to store enough solar light to work and doesn't last long. Wonderful idea, but way too much money for how poorly it works.

              Comments about Solar-Powered String Lights:

The solar lights were placed on my small trelis. I only ordered three strings (expensive). They are very long and I was able to pull from one side of the trelis to the other and back up one side. They are "beautiful". My neighbor said they look like little "stars" dancing around.
There are so many settings and no electric is required (totally solar for "each" strand). I left them on the setting where they continuously change. I hope they keep "dancing"!

Locals (North Dakota) said that solar lights would not work in the winter (short days) ...these lights have been fine and getting the charge they need to work.

Never got to use them! They broke as I was arranging them on a small fir tree in the yard. I didn't think I was handling them roughly. For such an expense I was hoping they would last forever.

I was surprised at the brightness, and the amount of lights on this string. We used them for Halloween and it was just perfect for the children to see the decorations, and safety in front of our home. I'll use them with our Christmas decorations.

I have always wanted to put lights in a tree, but hated to run a cord. These solar ones are wonderful and bright. I wish they were a little less expensive but GS has great quality, so I am counting on getting long use from them.
