We placed these lights along a pathway that receives direct sun and they did not function at all. We will be returning the lights. Save your money.

I am disappointed with these lights because they do not stay lit for more than 2-3 hours. Even after a full day of sun, the lights will come on at dusk and stay lit for only a few hours. And when lit, the light is weak at best.
