This is the greatest tool for covering squash and other vine stems with soil to encourage them to root.I also use it to add some fertilizer around plants,the shape of spoon is perfect.

Much easier and more efficient than a standard trowel. Good for digging, planting, cutting weed roots. I owned one I bought elsewhere with a wooden handle; it's excellent but this plastic handle will probably take more rough handling. We needed more than one in the family since everyone wanted to use it.

The soil scoop is a very useful tool. I use it for planting seedlings, as I can make the hole with just one scoop and set the plant in with my other hand. Planting goes very quickly that way. The handle is comfortable and big enough to hold onto. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Great tool. I could have used this many times over the years. In New Jersey we have clay type soil and digging in can be rough. The serrated edges make it a piece of cake! The scoop is great to add amendments in after you've dug the hole.

I ordered this on a whim, and have been glad ever since! My front garden has a lot of roots from older shrubs and trees that previous owners planted. This makes digging small holes for annuals and bulbs a breeze.
