- Made from wood treated with an eco-friendly preservative
- Easy to assemble; remove slats to access finished compost
Generations of gardeners have made compost using open wooden bins, often cobbled together from pallets. The Simply Natural Composter has a neater appearance, better construction, and it's treated with an eco-friendly preservative for a long life in the garden. You can put it together without tools in a few minutes, and you can easily remove slats to harvest finished compost or to relocate the composter. Comments about Simply Natural Compost Bin:
I have this composter in my community garden. After one year in the garden the slats have cracked and started to fall apart. I'm not going to have to replace the composter with somethng more sturdy.

Comments about Simply Natural Compost Bin:
I had my kids stain it with leftover deck stain to enhance durability I hope (an easy half hour doing the whole thing for the 2 of them). Looks even better, now for urban composting in a smallish yard where it is easily visible.
Capacity is as expected; about all we can handle here in a city.
I agree that the wood is not the sturdiest I've seen, but, it's looking to last a good few years. Overall happy with the purchase/worth it, esp. give what was available at the local big box home store for about the same price.

We have purchased three of these. They are nice-looking and easy to use. Our only problem is that is easy for the top slats to be broken from the usual accidents that can happen in a garden, such as bumping with a tool.

Comments about Simply Natural Compost Bin:
Although this appears to be well-designed and is certainly easy to construct, for the price there should be a matching cover provided.

Comments about Simply Natural Compost Bin:
My old black plastic composer (provided by my city) had broken so I treated myself to this wooden one. I am very happy with it! It hwicks twice what the old one did, is prettier, makes it easier on my back and composts faster. It's the best!

Comments about Simply Natural Compost Bin:
This went together easily and looks great. The first time I dismantled it to turn the compost, however, many of the boards split down the length. I called and got replacement boards (gardeners supply was helpful), but the same thing happened again.
