These covers do the trick in protecting delicate plants during periods of frost. Even withstand heavy rains. And they are easy to put on and take off - even on large potted plants.

              Comments about ShrubJacket Covers:

I used the ShrubJacket sheets to cover standard roses that are in planters in front of two pillars at my deck. The covers are large enough to wrap around the roses and pillar and I've secured them with the pins supplied with the jackets. The thick jackets mean that rose thorns don't catch on the material (unlike burlap).

                Comments about ShrubJacket Covers:

I bought these shrubjackets specifically to "save" my Geraniums and Hibiscus plants from the freezes of the Winter. I live in the Hi desert of CA, and certain plants just can't take the cold we have during the winter unless you move them inside. I had no place to move them, so decided I would give these a try. They were very easy to apply, look great and I hope are doing the job. If my plants survive, I will increase my rating and definitely buy more.

SO much easier than trying to lug heavy potted plants inside for a freeze. They are almost invisible when in use. The 4 kilt pins included secure the plant covers so wind doesnt blow them off.

I chose the size carefully from those given, but really should have gotten larger size. I thought the print on the fabric was ditsy, but it actually looks very good.

                          Comments about ShrubJacket Covers:

I garden in the northeast and used these covers extensively last winter. I am trying to work with them again this year. They are difficult to put on my plants (mostly rhodos and boxwoods hedges) so that they stay on when we have some wind. They lasted pretty well last year. However, by the end of that year some had disintegrated, probably from exposure to the sun. At the spots where the most sun damage occurred, many have torn. Most of the tearing comes from high winds during our inevitable winter storms. Once they tear, they are pretty useless. So, for me, their expected life is at most two years, not enough to replace burlap, and they didn't do as well as I would have expected.

I got these to help protect more tender perennials from New England winter weather. They are easy to use and seem well made. I'm just not sure if they will blow off my small shrubs without being anchored into the ground. I will find out. I also love that they came with three huge safety pins to secure the openings between ties.
