Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:
I really like this setup. The reservoir tray is flimsy, but it can be carried with a stronger tray underneath to remedy this problem. Also, I never pick the tray up to add water. My seedlings look great and I am very happy with this product.

Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:
The product is correctly targeted toward transplanting, but I was able to use one of my clear covers from another tray and start seeds directly in these pots.
Saying that there's a water "reservoir" is a bit of an exaggeration. There are channels in the tray for extra water, but that's true of all of my seed-starting trays. The jury is still out on the capillary mat; the pots do get a little drier than I expected.
However, I absolutely love the flexibility of having each seedling in its own pot rather than being part of a 6- or 9-cell pack. I can turn each pot in its own location or move pots from the outside to the inside to make sure all of the seedlings get the right amount of light.
I'm eager to see how easy it will be to transplant seedlings from these pots to the garden. I'm sure it will be much less cumbersome than working with the cells.

Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:
This is not an especially good capillary watering system. The APS is much better. It works to a point, but constant check must be kept on it. The water tray cannot hold much water since it is so shallow. Constant check must be kept on the capillary mat just as you would check for watering with no mat. Very small plants would not pose such a problem, but the size of the pots with this setup would require much watching as the plants got larger. 3" pots can be set on the APS with the cell tray removed.

Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:
I absolutely love the self watering transplant pots. The veggies I start have a great root system due to the self watering feature. I don't have to worry any more about over watering. The container also makes it very easy to carry out to the garden.

Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:
I have used the 4" (12 pot) trays before and they are great. I've now added the 3" (18 pot) tray to grow even more seedlings!
The bottom try could be a litte thicker/stronger for easier handling and longer product life. The pots are very durable.
Overall, a wonderful product I couldn't find anywhere else!

Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:
I like everything about this item with the exception of the tray holding the pots. It is too weak to move it when full without spilling the water. It bends so it is difficult to carry. A stronger tray would make this product perfect.
I would also like to see more sizes of pots for seed starting plants that get fairly large prior to being able to transplant them outside.

Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:
I plant seeds directly in these pots and save the step of transplanting into them.
