Pros

  • Holding Capacity
  • Ok Replacement For Aps

Cons

  • Flimsy
  • It Was A Leaker

Best Uses

  • Growing Seeds

Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:

I have used the APS seed starters for years and now that they aren't readily available this item seemed like a decent option. I didn't look over the water tray close enough and found out after I had filled it I had a weeping leak. As I had the pots already filled with seeds I grabbed the marine caulking and did a quick patch and put it to work. I did get quick results and all the seeds came up, so I did like its propagation ability.

    • Pot Up From Starter Pots

    Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:

After using the APS Starter System for years I was ready for the same quality in a pot up sysrtem. This is not it!! What a huge dissapointment this was! There is a large gap between the top and the bottom pieces. The wicking mat sits right on the bottom of the plastic so I see no need for it, unless they are going to put in a riser of some type, to hold plants out of the water. It needs a fill hole and a water level guage!! What good does it do to hold half a gallon of water if the plants are just going to sit in it?? Very expensive gadget just to keep your potted up seedlings together! This is the only thing I have bought from this company that I have been dissapointed in, and boy it was a loser! On top of that I bought 2 of them!

Started my whole garden with it. Great results, only 2 out of forty (both colantro) didn't grow and due to clumsy fingers one tomato and one cucumber broke off during planting. In general, a great success.

Worst purchase of my career. I have purchased a lot of products from this Internet Site and have never had a bad purchase.

Seed grew but the roots didn't get enough water and all the plants died. Makes a good recycle item and I would not tell my friends to purchase this item

            Comments about Self-Watering Transplant Pots:

The most useful aspect of this product is that you can go away for at least a week and the plants will have no ill effects (from lack of watering) even if left outdoors. They may be a little expensive given the type of materials used.
