Pot does not drain after it rains, drilled holes on all sides to promote drainage, Lost a few plants before holes were drilled . drained well after holes, even after Irene. I like that the casters came with the pot and were easily placed on the pot.I used the pot outside. I think it is better suited for indoor use.

I bought two 15" and two 17" containers for growing herbs on my patio. They hold quite a few plants, and since I had leftover space, I added radishes, which I'll replant as they're picked. The floating water level indicator for one container didn't work, but [...] a replacement part [...] works perfectly. I purchased self-watering soil mix and found that it takes nearly two full bags for the 17" containers and a little less for the 15". These are great containers and very attractive.

The water indicator doesn't work properly. The soilless mix becomes soggy and my large tomato plants started wilting. I bought 2 of these to put in my greenhouse. Frankly, I'd be happier with a planter that had drain holes - I think it's healthier for the plant. I'm considering using drain holes instead.
I like Gardener's Supply but these planters are far from my favorite things I've purchased. I do like the fact that they are on casters - that's a bonus. I don't think I would purchase anymore self-watering planters.

Needs to have better way of opening drain holes -- besides hitting with a hammer -- for outside use especially when wheels have been installed!

We have lots of hungry deer out here in the country, so I needed a way to separate the deer from my plants. Out on my railed porch I have the plants in self watering pots here in dry, windy Oklahoma. That way I can keep the deer at bay and have nice well watered plants. I bought one of these containers and was so pleased that I ordered two more.

I wanted to try a self-watering container for my tomatoes. I live in a condo and only have a deck for container gardening. These planters looked like they could do the job! Wasn't too sure when I first opened the box if they would be sturdy enough. But they were! Easy to assemble and get set up for planting. Only time will tell how well the tomatoes will grow, but I am extremely optimistic that I will have a nice crop of tomatoes this year. (Especially since I'm not the most dedicated "water-er")

Have only had this for a few weeks. The tomatoes seem to be doing fine. Love the fact I can go away and not worry about being home for a few days to water them. Not real excited thou about the water-level indicator. Seems to get stuck and not move. Would I recommend? Absolutely!
