Purchased some several years ago and they are holding up very well, no chipping or fading. When growing season is over I pick up the pots and bring the plants inside. Very lightweight. So when we needed additional pots I knew exactly what to buy.

The 19" pot is quite large, yet easy to move when planted. Self watering feature helps in our extreme dry heat, but I still water from above also. It keeps the plants from wilting if I skip a day or 2 of watering and that is very helpful! The self watering filler tube is a little difficult to use as the float marker gets stuck and the lid doesn't always click shut, but it works. Color is beautiful and holding up well in the intense sun so far.

I had to drill several drainage holes in the bottom of my new purple planter and the color flaked off. Hopefull this will not lead to the color coming off on the sides of the planter. It is a self watering planter but there were no instructions on the correct configuration to work efficiently. If my plants thrive I did it right, if not.......

It's a very large container and looks like pottery. The directions for the self-watering setup were in an envelope of additional ads/products which I didn't find until after I had set it up and filled with dirt. For first timers, the directions need to be in the pot. The price is a little high for a plastic pot but it is a nice planter.
