Now you can enjoy all the advantages of raised bed gardening, plus the added benefit of watering weekly instead of daily. This stylish planter boasts two 4-gallon reservoirs that keep plants lush and green even in a drought. Its crisp lines and realistic wood grain look elegant on the patio, but it's tough enough to use in the garden, because it's made of crack-proof, fade-proof polypropylene. Nine square feet of growing area; a generous 12" deep so it's deep enough for root crops like carrots. Dual-action watering system keeps plant roots just moist enough without waterlogging them, and a water gauge tells you when to refill. Includes easy-fill funnel with cover and two styles of finials.

Comments about Self-Watering Terrazza Raised Beds:
Over the years I have purchased five of these. They sit on a concrete parking pad in the middle of an urban area. I am a teacher and over the summer I don't have a salary, so I grow all of my food in these containers. I don't often write reviews but claims that these containers are flimsy made me feel the need: these containers have survived blizzards and weeks of 100 degree heat, and the only problem I have ever had is with the watering tubes. The tops of them (and therefore the insect covers) don't last a season and should be available for replacement in the catalog. But the containers are the perfect size for real crops and I grow tomatoes, peppers, squash, beets, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage, beans, strawberries and various herbs every year. They are the perfect answer to a city dwellers need for room to plant a serious, productive garden. I wish I had room for more!

I get a lot of positive comments from friends who see the planters. They always ask where I got them.
In my hot climate, I need to spray water over the feeder in addition to the water stored at the bottom of the planter for herbs with short root systems.

I started with two of the largest boxes and added a third the next year. We did a "mini" garden for the three year old. The Sunflower House and Renee's Seeds. She had a great time planting and harvesting the bounty. 9 one foot squares. They have so far made it through three summers and two winters without being moved from their spot in the yard. Cucumbers, squash, herbs, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, radishes, beets, I can't wait until we get them moved to Fla. Dogs, bunnies, burrowing animals don't get into the beds and deer do not seem to bother them either. Just make sure you put them far enough apart for the mower to get through or you will need to weed wack unless they are on a deck or other non grass area.

Love it!
Have been fighting deer for years and decided to use this for a mini garden on my deck. Perfect! Not only did it do well with our extremely HOT summer but the self watering feature made it easy! Didn't have to water every other day.
Plus it looks pretty on the deck.
The only draw back is the feature that tells you when your reservoir is full never seems to work. I just fill till it flows out the bottom and I am sure they are full.
Even bought one for my son.

I wasn't sure if the boxes would really work well, but I hoped they would! The boxes are great!! Even fully loaded with the soil, plants, & water I can still roll the boxes around my driveway carefully. My plants are doing excellent - they have doubled in size and have lots of small produce growing. I am very happy I bought the boxes.

Wish the large raised bed came with accessories such as an attachable screen to protect plants from animals. Also would like a cover, to protect it during the winter months.

Comments about Self-Watering Terrazza Raised Beds:
I've owned four of the smaller square planters like this one for about 4 years, they sit out on my deck (which faces the ocean) year round, and have held up to all winds and weathers very well. My husband recently power-washed them, when he was doing our deck, and they look like new! I decided to purchase this larger one for veggies and could not be happier. It's the perfect size for tomatoes, herbs etc. Looks attractive & retains water while I am away. You will not be disappointed with these planters!

Comments about Self-Watering Terrazza Raised Beds:
I have only had the planters for a few months, but everything in them is flourishing. We are using them on our deck as a "kitchen" garden so they are filled with tomatoes, peppers and lots of herbs.Even placed in a hot southwest exposure, it's nice not to have to be constantly watering everything. We can go for days before adding water to the reservoirs. One part came with slight crack and with a quick phone call to customer service, it was replaced [...]Nice service!

Comments about Self-Watering Terrazza Raised Beds:
This won't last very long- you might get a couple of great years. I've had this about 5 yrs now and it's junk. The plastic is very brittle now (contrary to the description) and just falling apart. Of course the watering tube broke years ago, so just watered it from the top hoping the excess stayed in the bottom. I wouldn't have been disappointed if it cost a lot less, but at this price, I don't think it's worth it.

Comments about Self-Watering Terrazza Raised Beds:
My son, who assembled it for me, was so impressed with the details that made it so easy to assemble. I have two, and they sit between two rain barrels and so it is east to keep the self watering filled, and I don't have to water from above every day. My son being so impressed is the greatest complement.
