Grow Fresh, Healthy Food Anywhere

We’ve improved our most popular patio planters by adding a rolled rim and a top-fill port with a water level indicator. What we haven’t changed is the big, 4-gallon reservoir and our patented wicking system, the combination that outperforms garden-grown plants 2 to 1. Optional Casters make them easy to move around and fertilizing is as easy as ever: just mix a cup of our all-organic granular Fertilizer into the soil, or add a water-soluble fertilizer into the reservoir. With just a few square feet and a few minutes a week, you can grow juicy, red tomatoes, flavorful herbs and salad greens or an abundance of colorful flowers.

  • Grow tomatoes, herbs, greens or flowers in any sunny spot
  • New rolled rim for easy handling
  • 4-gallon water reservoir and patented wicking system
  • Our Self-Watering Container Mix is the perfect planting mix!
  • Add Optional Casters (sold separately) for easy mobility
  • Choice of Terra Cotta or Green

Great if you are limited in garden space. Even a
small backyard can grow vegetable from these
tubs. The height is good for low growing vegetables such as squash and with an added tower,
you can grow peas, tomatoes, etc. They can be moved anywhere with a fitted trolley

    Comments about Self-Watering Patio Planters:

I haven't used this planter yet but have it sitting outside with a block of coir in it. I have noticed that the rain has filled it so that there is an inch of water covering the high parts where normally dirt and plants would be. The terrazo planters let water out when they are full. These need to do the same.

        Comments about Self-Watering Patio Planters:

I'm using a couple of these to grow my first winter vegetable garden. I got the book "Incredible Vegetables with Self-Watering Containers" and that inspired me to find these. It's not so easy to find self watering containers that are sturdy enough for veggies.

So far so good! The planter is quite large so I can have several rows of baby spinach and lettuce. It seems pretty sturdy and was easy to assemble. The only problem I've had is that the hinge on the water fill tube is plastic and broke on one of my bins already but it still snaps down fine. Otherwise no problems and the veggies are already sprouting!

This is the fourth planter I've purchased. My deck garden is oomplete. The planters are great for growing lettuce, tomatoes, peppers - all my favorites. And they don't dry up while on vacation.

          Comments about Self-Watering Patio Planters:

I am doing an indoor winter garden and they are perfect for my dining room (hardly used) windows. I am growing salad greens and onions. The only con so far is the water level indicators. My granddaughter pulled one out and I can't reinsert it now since there are plants in the box. Could the indicators and water spouts be somehow integrated into the boxes?

I had purchsed two to try and liked it so much that I purchased two more for next year. My daughter wants some as a Christmas present. We like the fact that it holds so much water and we don't have to check it daily. Great product.

              Comments about Self-Watering Patio Planters:

The first one I ordered is holding herbs that are thriving! I love the convenience of not having to worry about watering. I think this will also be great for vegetables that don't have deep roots, so I just ordered 7 more and I'm going to try lettuce and spinach in them. I'm also going to give them a try inside in my south-facing windows once it gets colder outside.
