      Comments about Self-Watering Patio Planters:

I own 3 of these for my deck right outside my kitchen where I grow herbs and lettuces. I have them on wheels because this deck gets only part sun and I can roll them around during the day to get the strongest light.

Best part: I travel during the summer and I don't have to stress about watering! They are self-maintaining - think I added water maybe twice all summer last year and had herbs all season long.

One of them arrived damaged -I called and they replaced the part immediately - no questions, problem at all.

        Comments about Self-Watering Patio Planters:

I have ordered many of these self watering planters over the years. Great for a patio or deck. This design appears will be better to prevent flooding of the planter in heavy rains, which was a problem I had with the last model. Overall well made, I am a bit concerned that the plastic door cover for the well will break if opened a lot. Good size planter, I have grown cherry tomato plants in these previously, but I would not recommend it for plant that has a deep root system, since the water reservoir does take up a good amount of the base of the planter. These planters have been useful for my vacation house, keeps the plants moist for a week or so.

            Comments about Self-Watering Patio Planters:

I bought this to create a "kitchen" garden to conveniently locate on my deck and patio and to augment my small vegetable which is a ways from the house. I have added the casters so I am able to change locations as necessary to control the amount of sun. I haven't planted yet (still too cold) but I have purchased similar Terrazza planters in the past which have worked really well.

            Comments about Self-Watering Patio Planters:

I have bought 26 of these self-watering containers. I have used them in drought ridden arkansas for 2 years and only wish they made a deeper version to compliment the ones I already have. I have grown tomatoes, peppers, corn, squash, eggplants, okra, and herbs of all kinds. I found that combining these planters with a drip system has kept my garden growing even in heavy drought and 113 degree weather. I overwintered kales of 4 varieties and mustards of 3 and had greens at least once a week and for juicing this winter (but it was a mild winter and I removed the drip irrigation.) The 4 gallon reservoir is a godsend for tomatoes.

I was away on and off a lot last suumer and never had a wilted or dead plant - it self watered to perfection - other non-self-watering pots mostly died. I grow herbs on my deck and have 3 of these on wheels so I can roll them around to follow the sun all day.

I BOUGHT 45 CONTAINERS. HARD TO CHOOSE WHAT VEGETABLE PLANTS ARE LESS IMPORTANT TO USE OLD STYLE LARGE POTS ON. USE THESE 45 FOR THE IMPORTANT VEGETABLES. I WILL USE A FEW ON MY ALUMINUM DECK WHICH I AM A DEALER, AS IT WILL ADD EVEN MORE BEAUTY WITH HEALTHY GREEN PLANTS.

                    • If you are new to growing vegetables in containers, or have had limited success, here are a few tips to help you succeed.
                    • Beautiful, bountiful planters depend on good soil, fertilizer and careful watering. But to take your planters from standard to sensational, you need the right plants. Start with this simple rule: Combine plants with three different habits. In other words, thrillers, fillers and spillers.
                    • To create beautiful flowering planters, it helps to pick the right plants. Browse our gallery of flowering pots, planters, hanging baskets, windowboxes and more. You’ll find plenty of inspiration – and detailed plant lists, so you can recreate the look at home.
