Comments about Self-Watering Hanging Basket:
The plastic watering hole on the side is not sealed well. Leaks when the plant is watered and runs all over you or the patio. Definitely for outdoor use only!

Comments about Self-Watering Hanging Basket:
These self watering hanging baskets are fantastic. I used to have problems with hanging baskets drying out even though they are on a drip system: the water simply flowed through and dripped out the bottom of the basket. Now that I have these self watering hanging baskets, the 'excess' water gets stored in the reservoir and then wicked back in as the soil dries.
I also use one for my String of Pearls succulent which is not on my drip system but is out in the sun and the wind. It stays nice and healthy now that I have switched to using the self watering planter.

Comments about Self-Watering Hanging Basket:
Didn't like the cord used to hang the basket. Difficult to set the basket down when not hanging. Want hook instead of cheap ring to hang the basket from. Liked set-up for hanging of original plant container (which didn't self water & which had become too small to keep plant in).
I really didn't like the available color options when I ordered this product; but the color is okay.

Transplanted 2 of my hanging plants to these planters. Am totally satisfied thus far. It was very difficult to find just what I wanted until I found this site.

Comments about Self-Watering Hanging Basket:
With the E. Tx heat wave of 2011, my flowers took a beating and I gave up. Now, I'm trying the self-watering hanging flower pots that hopefully will help next year as it's reported for the drought to continue. My fall plantings are doing very well and the convenience is nice that I don't have to check about watering them as often now. I just get to look outside my window and admire my flowers in their new containers. I haven't used the self watering kit for my big planters yet. I will be putting them to use this next spring.
P.S. I'll be able to enjoy my pansies all winter now, having my pansies in the hanging baskets instead of the ground will keep my peacocks from eating them. They do love pansies as a treat!!

Comments about Self-Watering Hanging Basket:
This self-watering planter keeps my plants going between infrequent waterings. So glad to have found these. The flat bottom and removeable hanger clips make it easy to plant. I may have to replace the cords with metal chains someday, but everything else seems well designed

We use these for hanging house plants. The first batch held up for many years. We expect these to do the same.

Comments about Self-Watering Hanging Basket:
I have a sheltered front porch where hanging plants beautify my front entrance but does not allow rain to hit the planters due to the overhang. These planters allow me to water less often and not worry when I travel.

Comments about Self-Watering Hanging Basket:
I have five hanging baskets under my Mulberry tree and the plants are thriving. Living in San Diego (inland) can be hot but the tree shades the planters and they are thriving.
I love only needing to water them every 2 days! Such a time-saver and even when they run dry, they are fine because the soil is still damp from the bottom.
