During the many years as a Gardeners' customer, I've purchased a goodly number of self-watering containers - this is the absolute best in its category. I use it for a Boston fern in the entrance, where I really don't want water slopping onto the doormat - keeps the plant just at the right moisture level (especially important during a recent heat wave)- easy to fill.

I have several hanging from hooks around my porch. They work very well. I have drip irrigation going to them to keep the reservoirs full. I would give it 5 stars except for the hanging string and plastic clips that attach them are prone to breaking and replacement parts are not offered by Gardner's. Another issue is the end of season clean up. Pulling out an expired plant whose roots have grown into the watering grid can be tricky. If pulled out quickly or turned over and dumped the grid will break and pull out with it. A careful touch can avoid both problems but I would like to see a better construction and replacement parts.

I live in a very hot climate so I can go and know they are going to still be watered for a view days plus it's the best way to water plants from the bottom up
