These Cortina planters have highly realistic finishes that mimic ceramic pottery, but they’re made of lightweight polypropylene so they’re easier to move. Hidden inside is a 1-gallon reservoir, water-level indicator and an easy-fill funnel to keep plants lush and healthy all summer long.

This is ok, but I repotted and removed the insert. The water goes stagnant very quickly in the heat of Southern New Mexico. I also had to drill drainage holes in the bottom to keep from drowning my plants.

A little difficult to understand instructions at first, but I figured it out OK.

My front entry is shady most of the day and the potato vines and shade plants look wonderful against the caramel color! AND I don't have to water it daily!

I am very pleased with the pots I purchased. They look so elegant. A far cry better than the cheapo plastic pots I used to have.

We have one of your hanging containers - it has a wick to draw the water up into the potting medium, and works well. The Cortina planters have no such wick, and the water just stays in the reservoir. When I empty the planters, I will install my own wick, but that should not be necessary.

I now have 4 of the Cortina pots in both sizes. They are very well-made; in fact they withstood all our snow blizzards with no damage. They are lightweight, and easy to move, even with soil and plants. They will really dress up your patio or porch. The self-watering aspect is great since I don't have to worry about the plants drying out or becoming water-logged. The only thing I was disappointed in with the 2 I purchased this year, is that the matching pot saucer is no longer being sold.

I do many types of container plantings every season. These planters add color and dimension to our other deck planters. They fit nicely along the steps. I travel often so they do not get watered daily. So far (after 2 months) the plants are doing great! The water reservoir seems to work well. I will probably buy them again.
