We used this planter on our front porch, with a nice arrangement of plants in it. Previously, it was difficult to grow things there because I didn't always remember to water daily or even twice daily in some weather. Consequently, my plants tended to die. This year, the plants flourished on approximately weekly waterings, and we received several nice compliments on how nice the planter looks.

I have used several of your self-watering containers, and they have solved my watering needs in the hot Iowa summer months. The pots offer consistent watering during regular growing days and prevent wilt and stress. But I really like them for long weekends away from home, and even use them for up to 3 weeks at our vacation home, depending on hot hot or wet the weather has been.

Having purchased other plastic containers from Gardener's Supply that looked surprisingly like pottery, I was disappointed in this one. It's obvious, even from a distance, that it's a fake. As a self-watering container, it works great, but if you're looking for something that passes for ceramic, this one won't do the trick.
